Projects

LEVYNA carries out research projects funded by various national and international grant programs. These projects connect the study of religion with psychology, anthropology, cognitive science, and evolutionary biology, aiming to understand how people think, feel, and act in religious and ritual contexts—and how these processes shape cooperation, identity, and cultural diversity.

Below you can find an overview of current and recently completed projects that represent different directions of our research—from computational modeling of religiosity and the psychology of signaling to the evolution of ritual communication.
